Late Summer brings softness to the garden, the sun hangs just ever so slightly lower in the sky, casting a warm glow on the remaining blossoms. Dahlias flourish, golden rod bursts and asters draw the bees to their copious blooms. This mixed media piece was created as part of my Summer Floral exploration, where I drew inspiration from my own gardens and imagined the entire season condensed into one beautiful scene. Pale pink, butter yellow, light blue and delicate whites on a background of variegated lush green foliage.
